The Doon School Dehradun was founded in 1935 as the boys boarding school. The school was founded by S.R Das who studied at the Manchester Grammar School which was an all-boys boarding school in London. SR Das aspired to give that type of education to Indian students in India so he founded The Doon School. The school is spread over 70 acres of campus in the original site of Forest Research Institute. It serves the boys of age 12 to 18 to educate them. The Doon School Dehradun is affiliated with multiple boards such as Cambridge International Examination (CIE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), and International Baccalaureate (IB). Along with academics the school also offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
