JEE Main 2019: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Entrance (JEE Main) April examination 2019 from April 7 to April 20. The test will be held in two shifts: 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 pm and 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 pm.

The exam which is going to realise the dreams of those students aspiring to become future engineers is imminent. The exam in question is JEE Main 2019.

The remainder of this article will provide preparation strategy which will maximise scoring potential in JEE Main 2019.

Strengthen your strong areas:

  • Based on the preparation carried out thus far, the students should spend a day in identifying their areas of strength in each subject based on the entire syllabus
  • Plan to spend the next ten days in mastering the topics identified as area of strength in each subject. Focus on two topics on a daily basis and solve the questions from past JEE Main/AIEEE papers in those topics
  • One should focus on spending 12 hours on a daily basis. In the 12 hours spent on a daily basis, spend about 4 hours for Chemistry, 3 hours for Physics and 3 hours for Math
  • The remaining 2 hours should be spent on taking Unit tests chapter wise in all the three subjects. Scoring high marks in Chemistry is relatively easier in comparison to scoring high marks in Physics and Math
  • As part of preparation, take unit test on a daily basis to identify the weak areas in each chapter so that the gaps could be effectively plugged. The students should ensure that they take three JEE Main simulated mock tests during this phase of preparation.

Brace for a strong finish:

  • Having played to their strengths, it is time for the students to have a strong finish. Prior to the commencement of this phase, the students should come up with test taking strategies
  • Each student should have a couple of tests taking strategies which needs to be put to test over the last two weeks before the exam
  • During the last two weeks prior to the exam date, take daily JEE Main simulated mock tests to get into the groove for the exam
  • The students should do a thorough analysis of the mock tests on a daily basis to do the necessary changes in strategy prior to the exam
  • A day prior to the exam, the students should not take any mock test, instead a review of the key concepts and formulae should be done in each subject
  • The students should ensure a minimum of 8 hours of sleep the night prior to the JEE Main exam as that would keep the mind fresh and uncluttered.

Good luck to the students to come out with flying colors in the JEE Main exam.
