Faridkot is the holy city named after the famous spiritual poet Sheikh Farid Ji, whose work has found a prominent place in the holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. It has the privilege to be the birth place of our former president Gyani Zail Singh. The beautiful hi-tech campus of AIET is well connected by trains/ roads with the national and state capitals. It is about 400 kms from New Delhi and 200 kms from Chandigarh. The nearest Airport, Amritsar, is about 150 kms away. In the recent years, Faridkot has become an education hub of the State of Punjab. Besides our institute, Faridkot city has many others educational institutions such as Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Govt. Barjindra College, Govt. History, Aiet Faridkot

A.I.E.T. Faridkot provides science and technology based engineering education with a view to produce quality engineering graduates. Adesh Institute of Engineering & Technology is approved by AICTE, NEW DELHI and affiliated with Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda. The institution was established in 1996 on 39 acres of land, located at Sadiq Road, Faridkot.

The curriculum provides broad based knowledge and simultaneously builds a temper for the life long process of learning and exploring. A.I.E.T. Faridkot offers a variety of academic programmes for students with a wide range of backgrounds. Admission to B.Tech. Programmes are based on performance in JEE (Mains) examinations. The programmes offered by A.I.E.T. Faridkot are presently classified as undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This classification is based primarily on entry/admission qualification of students rather than the level of degree offered. For all undergraduate programmes, students are admitted after 10+2 schooling while for all postgraduate programmes, students are admitted after they have obtained at least a college level Bachelor's degree. At the postgraduate level, students are encouraged to look beyond their area of specialization to broaden their horizons through open electives.
